Seasons & Wild Weather

Eleven kinds of weather, four seasons, and the occasional hurricane.

What it is

Eternal Realms follows real-world seasons. Spring, summer, autumn and winter roll through the server on the actual calendar — and the sky is always doing something. Vanilla has rain; we have weather.

A living sky

The world rotates through a season-weighted mix of weather, changing every few minutes:

  • Fog that rolls over the land and swallows the horizon.
  • Gusty winds you can feel pushing at your back.
  • Downpours that soak the fields and make crops shoot up.
  • Hail that stings anyone caught in the open.
  • Sandstorms scouring the deserts.
  • Auroras dancing across winter night skies.
  • Meteor showers streaking over summer nights.
  • Rainbows after daytime rain — with a touch of real luck while one is up.
  • Plus the classics: clear skies, rain, and proper thunderstorms.

Severe weather

And sometimes the sky turns mean: hurricanes, blizzards and heatwaves sweep the world with sirens and a countdown warning. When you hear the horn, get to shelter.

Weather-proof claims

Your shelter plan: diamond and emerald protection stones create weather-proof claims. Inside them, the worst weather can't touch your builds. When the hurricane sirens sound, get inside your claim (or make friends with someone who has one).
