Datapacks & Add-ons

Twenty-eight datapacks deep — and here's how to use every single one.

What this is

Beyond the custom plugins, Eternal Realms runs a curated stack of 28 datapacks. You don't need to install anything — textures arrive automatically through the server resource pack. This page is the manual: what each pack does and how to actually use it. Exact recipes for everything live in the recipe browser.

Worlds & dimensions

  • Incendium (Stardust Labs) — total Nether overhaul: 8 new biomes and 9 colossal structures in newly explored Nether chunks. Loot the Sanctum (holds the Daybreaker weapon) and the Forbidden Castle (Scarlet Dagger in the tower peak). Boss: find an Infernal Altar in the Infernal Dunes and throw a Nether Star onto its lectern to summon the Hovering Inferno — endgame gear required, seriously.
  • Stellarity — massive End expansion: 20+ End biomes, strongholds five times bigger (and Illager-infested), End Cities that work like Trial Chambers with vaults, End villages with unique trades, 40+ items and 4 armor sets. The Ender Dragon fight is reworked — tougher, with crystal-shield phases, and at 1 HP she lands on the portal: finish her with a melee hit. Afterwards, craft late-game gear by throwing ingredients onto the Altar of The Accursed. (There's a second boss, the Empress of Light — even the devs call her unfair. You've been warned.)
  • Villages Revamped — every vanilla village style rebuilt beautifully in new chunks. Nothing to do but visit; /locate still finds them.
  • Blue Depths — 12 new water creatures (great whites, orcas, crocodiles, electric eels...) plus a boss. Craft the guidebook: 1 book + 1 salmon — it explains the whole ecosystem. Cook the new fish on a Deep Blue Grill (smoker + blue dye + 3 copper ingots). Boss: craft the Nameless Catalyst (crying obsidian corners, soul sand top/bottom, ink sacs sides, Eye of Ender center), place it, and feed it drops from each new creature.
  • The Expansion — a full space program: 7 dimensions (Moon, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Europa...), machines, space suits, and rockets. To begin: at night, look at the Moon through a spyglass while holding a Book and Quill in your offhand. Big enough to earn its own complete guide.
  • Unwrecked Ships Plus — intact, fully-rigged ships sail the oceans (and crimson ships sail the Nether's lava seas). Board them for shipwreck-grade loot — but some carry Pillager or Piglin crews who shoot on sight.
  • Pocket Dimensions — craft one as a vertical column: amethyst shard / Eye of Ender / bundle. Right-click at full health to enter your own private room. Place it as a block and friends can walk in; if someone breaks a placed pocket, everyone inside gets ejected.

Nature & ambience

  • Wild Animals — elephants in savannas and jungles, sharks and jellyfish in the oceans, crabs on beaches, ostriches on the plains. Just explore.
  • All The Fish — 150+ new fish in the fishing pool. Catches change with biome, depth, time of day and weather — and yes, you can lava-fish in the Nether.
  • Gardener's Dreamcrouch + right-click a flower pot while holding almost any plant to pot it (tall flowers included). Use a stonecutter on a flower pot to pick from 44 pot designs; crouch-place composters and cauldrons for big planters; punch a potted plant to rotate it.
  • Desire Lines (Gamemode 4) — walk the same route often and the grass wears into a real dirt path. Feather Falling boots protect the ground — wear them near your manicured lawns.
  • Spawn Animations — hostile mobs claw their way up out of the earth instead of popping into existence. Cosmetic, creepy, great.
  • Bat Membrane — phantoms never spawn. Bats drop phantom membranes instead (most of the time) — hunt caves, not the night sky.
  • Sleepone player sleeping skips the night. Want a "you can sleep now" ping? /trigger sleep_notification set 3 gives you chat + sound alerts.

Building & decoration

  • Decorations Plus — 60+ craftable decorations (globes, gramophones, chess boards, cannons...). Craft the item, then right-click a completely empty armor stand with it — the stand becomes the decoration. Punch it to get both back. Recipes are in your recipe book.
  • Display Cases — craft: 4 sticks around a glass block. Place on top of a block, right-click with any item to display it. Shift+right-click empty-handed toggles display style; shift+click with dye colors the glass; with a block, swaps the base. Comparators read them.
  • KawaMood's Racks — craft: 3 matching planks over 2 sticks (outer columns). Floor racks hold 2 tools, wall racks 1. Right-click with a tool to hang it, empty hand to take it; sneak+right-click cycles display poses. Enchantments survive.
  • Portfolio — 136 new painting variants join the random pool. Place paintings and re-place to reroll; build the exact wall size of the art you want to narrow the odds.
  • Catenary — hanging chains, garlands and rideable ziplines. Craft a Catenaring Table (2 planks + 2 iron chains), pick materials in its GUI, then right-click two anchor blocks to string the line. Right-click an endpoint holding a bow to ride it — real physics, momentum carries across lines. Add a Lift Upgrade for powered uphill lines; wax with honeycomb so nobody breaks it by accident.
  • Lectern OverhaulShift+right-click a lectern with a book to display it as an animated 3D book with floating text. Right-click the book to flip pages, punch to take it back. (Regular placement keeps the vanilla lectern.)
  • Working Trains — drivable steam, diesel and electric trains with wagons, doors, horns and stations. Locomotives come from spawn eggs — ask an admin for the spawning catalog — then sit in the cab and drive with the clickable Control Book (speeds, reverse, doors, horn, coupling). Structure eggs place turns, slopes and stations. Do NOT drive a coupled train onto the turntable.

Items & progression

  • Ancient Artifacts 2 — 50+ artifacts with real abilities, hidden in overgrown structures across all three dimensions. Clear the mobs, then open the artifact chest with an amethyst shard. Wear up to 2 artifacts; upgrade one by holding the upgrade with the artifact in your offhand. The artifact cauldron's combination recipes are randomized for our world — collect parchments to decode them.
  • Tool Trims — trim 46 tools and weapons like armor. Craft the Toolsmithing Table (2 copper ingots over 4 planks), then combine a template + tool + one of 11 materials. Templates hide where armor trims do: Linear in trail ruins & mineshafts, Tracks in outposts & mansions, Charge in ancient cities, Frost in igloos. Duplicate templates like armor trims.
  • MasterCutter — the stonecutter learns ~500 new cuts: put logs or planks in a stonecutter for stairs, slabs, doors, fences and more in every wood; cut copper into bars, chains and doors; swap between block variants; even un-craft a few things (cobweb → string).
  • Vanilla+ — ~300 vanilla-style items: 7 new armor/tool sets (lapis, quartz, redstone, resin, emerald, amethyst, nether star), spears, effect amulets, dyeable elytra and books, hats, and custom foods. Recipes unlock as you pick up their key ingredients — grab leather and watch the hat recipes appear.
  • Vanilla++ — adds onto Vanilla+: 8 custom structures, 3 new music discs, extra paintings, mob variants, dyed quartz in 16 colors, and the Core enchantment — chestplates/elytra, up to level IV, +5 max health per level. Get it from the enchanting table like any armor enchant.
  • Backpacks8 leather around a chest makes a small backpack (right-click to open). Upgrade at the smithing table: chest template + iron ingot → 9 slots, + diamond → 18, netherite template + ingot → 40. Dye them at the smithing table too. 8 leather around an ender chest = the Ender Backpack, a portable ender chest.
  • Craft Music Discs — every vanilla disc is craftable in a plus-shape: 4 themed items around a center (Pigstep = netherrack + gold ingot, Cat = flint + emerald, Tears = calcite + ghast tear, Lava Chicken = raw chicken + lava bucket...). All 22 show in your recipe book; our custom discs live alongside them.

And the community plugins

A few third-party plugins round out the experience:

  • AuraSkills — a full skills-and-abilities progression system. Open it with /skills and start levelling everything you already do.
  • BreweryX — real brewing: ferment, distill and age actual drinks in barrels. Quality matters. Overdo it and you'll slur in chat.
  • Proximity voice chat + radios — talk to players near you (Simple Voice Chat mod), plus craftable radios for long range.
  • TreeChop — chop the whole tree down, not one block at a time.
  • ToolStats — your tools remember: blocks broken, mobs slain, ownership history.
  • Homes & TPA/sethome and /home, plus /tpa teleport requests to friends.
  • PatPat — pat your friends on the head. Essential infrastructure.
  • Vivecraft — full VR support if you own a headset.
  • Plus anti-xray, multi-version support (join on almost any modern client version), and Distant Horizons + JEI support for modded clients.
